International Landing Tabs on Facebook
Are you faced with the dilemma of having lots of owned brand pages (either by country or product) scattered around Facebook? Are you scratching your head for the best way to bring them all together? Then this blog post may be just what you need…
Volkswagen International
Volkswagen has 35 country Facebook pages ranging from Argentina to Venezuela. They’ve neatly grouped these pages together via a simple drop down box, which sits alongside ‘Special Interest Pages’ of Volkswagen, such as Volkswagen Motorsport and Volkswagen eGames. By the click of a button you’re instantly taken to the Facebook page of your choice.
Starbucks Around the World
If you’re brand is truly global like Starbucks then a map is a great way to show all your pages.
How can I do this?
If you’re a real whizz - or know of a whizz that can help you - you may be able to knock up something like this yourself. But if you don’t have the technical prowess, then help is on hand via companies such as Buddy Media, Engage Sciences and Wildfire who have the marketing tools and experience to facilitate set up.
Top tip
If you have international brand pages then it’s important to name them correctly, e.g. Starbucks UK and Starbucks Canada. This will save them competing against each other in a Facebook or Google search. It sounds obvious but brands sometimes forget to do this, which can cause confusion for your customers and lead them to joining the wrong page. You want to make it as easy as possible for fans to find and like your page.
